Choices and decisions!
“Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding (cease trying to solve your problems). In all your ways acknowledge Him (Praise and thank Him for answering), and He will make your paths straight (He will answer).” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Everyday, we are faced with choices and decisions. Some are easy and others are very difficult. Sometimes we feel our backs are against the wall with no hope. I firmly believe that if we will pray about every issue facing us, “listen” to His wisdom (through His Word), and wait patiently for Him to answer (and He will), we will live happier, healthier, more peaceful, and victorious lives. That’s Go’s will for us. He desires for us to be over comers in this crazy world.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” (Psalm 32:8)
God does not want His children to live like the world lives. We shouldn’t act and react as non-Christians do. We are blessed with having a relationship with Jesus and the ability and power to rise above adversities so we can conquer our problems.
God is wisdom! If I need a problem solved or advice, it makes sense for me to pray as prayer changes everything! But it’s a choice I must make. Will I allow God to handle my situations and problems or will I handle it myself and probably experience defeat and failure? I choose God!
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11)
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law (the Bible) he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor the sinners in the congregation of the righteous.” (Psalm 1:16)
It pays to listen to God and follow His direction. It’s a win/win! So what is the first step? Seek God in your prayer time. He’s always listening.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” (James 1:5)
Have you asked God for wisdom? His Word promises He will give it generously. Again, it's a win/win! His wisdom will not only give us answers, but will lead and guide us through the tough times.
Choose to spend time with Him. He loves you very much!
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
I know I want to live my life in victory, and not defeat. Therefore I will choose Jesus instead of the world. “He is the way, the truth, and the life!” (John 14:6)
Need your problems solved? Do you feel you are at the end of your rope? Are you desperate for help? Jesus is the answer! Jesus is your answer!
“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Jeremiah 33:3)
Choices and decisions? Prayer changes everything!
