Youth Night will be held at Midway MB Church on March 5th starting at 6:30 p.m. All youth are invited to attend.
Sympathy to the Wilson family in the passing of Walter Lee Wilson, Sr. His funeral was last Saturday at Koinonia Baptist Church in Clinton, MS. Rev. Richard Morgan is the pastor and he did an outstanding Eulogy. Walter was a deacon of the church and he talked about how much Walter liked fishing, exercise and eating healthy food. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. Walter Lee Wilson Sr. is the brother to Tom Wilson. Tom and Dr. Locord Wilson Ph.D. daughter, Dr. Tomika Wilson Greer of Houston, Texas was the Mistress of Ceremony.
Walter is the ex-husband of Mattie Sanders Wilson, one-time principal of Thomas Town School in Leake County. She is one of the Sanders of Noxapater. Two brothers married two sisters. Walter Wilson married Mattie Sanders and brother Ronald Wilson married Mattie’s sister Florese Sanders. Mattie and Florese sister Rosa Sanders taught with me in 73-74 at Beulah Hubbard High School in Little Rock, Newton County, MS.
Sympathy to the Rhodes family in the passing of Mr. L. C. Rhodes of Morton. His service was last Saturday at Farris Hill Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS. Interment was at Farris Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mapp Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and family, cherished by his children: Willie T. Rhodes, Oscar Rhodes, Ray Charles Harper, Sr. (Murnell), Patsy J. Watson (Jack, deceased), Billy C. Rhodes (Gloria), Shirley Jean Rhodes, L.C. Rhodes, Jr. (Nicole) and Aresia Rhodes. He is also survived by his brother, Oscar Rhodes (Naomi), 27 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Sympathy to the Harper family in the passing of Ollie Mae Harper of Morton. Her service was last Saturday at Pilgrim Rest MB Church in Morton. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Ofahoma, MS. Mapp Funeral Home was entrusted with her arrangements.
