Sunday of Hope
The Kitchen committee lunch plates were a great success. All who signed up were given a plate and we did a few extra plates and they were given out also. Lunch plates consisted of pork lions simmered in brown gravy over a bed of rice, string beans, sweet potato pudding and homemade rolls. The breakfast lunch plates received garlic toast instead of a roll. The breakfast plates received a small bottle of orange juice and the lunch plates at church received ice cold lemonade. Thanks to all who makes these give away plates a success.
Midway M. B. Church will celebrated its Sunday of Hope on April 27, 2025. Everyone who gave donations to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, we thank you. It was really appreciated. I want to thank the leaders of Midway M. B. Church for matching whatever donations the members gave. That was really great. Now I hope that other churches will follow Midway M. B. Church policy in giving to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. You can do it if you try.
Tuesday, April 29, 2025 the pastor will deliver the message at Cedar Grove, M. B. Church at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Tevin Nickols is the pastor.
Reserve the date: Vacation Bible School will be held at Midway M.B. Church, May 27-29 at 5:45 p.m. Teachers are supposed to be there at 5:45 p.m. and Vacation Bible School starts at 6:00 p.m. Registration forms will be available.
Sympathy to the Moore family in the passing of Fritze “Fred” Moore (December 18, 1966 – April 23, 2025). His service will be honored Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 289 Zion Church Road, Lake, MS. His visitation will be May 1, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Evans Memorial Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Evans Memorial Funeral Home.
