Family Visit
The Century Family Reunion will be held in Dallas, Texas in June of 2026. Milton McClendon is the Dallas Chapter President. Registration information can be found at Century Family Reunion in Facebook. Please register early and enjoy this family time.
When I left Indianapolis, I motored to St. Cloud, Minnesota and spent the week with my children and grandchildren. We had a wonderful time. No matter where you might roam there is no place like home. No bed sleeps like your bed.
Sympathy to the McBounds family in the passing of Mark Anthony “OG Silk” McBounds. He was eulogized on last Saturday at New Mt. Calvary M. B. Church in Brusha. Sis. Rosie Thrasher was the Mistress of Ceremony. Scriptures from the Old and New Testament were read by Rev. Dewayne Gammage. Prayer was delivered by Rev. Walter Patrick. Acknowledgements and condolences were read by Sister Josalind Moore. Selections were rendered by Sis. Katrina Loper and Sis, Kurra Brewer. The eulogy was delivered by the pastor Rev. Samuel Magee. Mapp Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
Mark leaves his legacy to be cherished by: his mother, Frances M. Ashley; brothers, Meko McBounds of Forest, MS, Sedrick McBounds of Minnesota, and Clarence McBounds of Chicago, Illinois; a special love, Sarratour Lane; daughter, Gabrielle Mahone of Birmingham, Alabama; son, Mark Roland McBounds of California; grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.
