On last Monday the Retiree Fun and Fellowship group of Midway M. B. Church Community decided to hand piece a quilt cover then the next thing on that agenda is to piece it. Tom Wilson will be preparing a quilting frame to be used in the quilting process. You ought to see the squares that are being pieced.
I started a quilt for my great niece and decided I wanted her name embroidered on it and found out that Emmie Mann of Carthage would do the embroidery for me. She did a beautiful job. If you would like to have something embroidered or monogramed see Emmie. You name the style or words and she can do it along with all the little angels and ect.
Next week I will write about each graduate in this area. If you will send me your information so that you will not be left out of the printing.
Sympathy to the Smith family in the passing Allen Smith. His service was last Saturday at Mapp Funeral Home Chapel. Mapp Funeral Home was entrusted with his arrangements.
Sympathy to the Ward family in the passing Antoine Ward. His service was last Saturday in Milwaukee. Antoine was the only son of John Harold Ward and Drexella Ward of Milwaukee. He was the grandson of the late J. B. and Pauline Green Ward of the Midway Community. I had tried to get his funeral arrangements in last weeks column, but when I got the information it was too late to meet the press deadline. Harold was my classmate at North Scott Attendance Center back in the 60s.
