By the time this paper is out the victorious candidate between Tommie A. Harrison and Bruce McMillian for District 5 Supervisor will be named. That person will then compete for the position against Harmon Fountain.
Rev. Wesley Griffin will be the guest speaker at the Midway Freewill Baptist Church Revival on September 25th at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. Rev. Cory Bender is the pastor.
Looking forward to going to my oldest granddaughter Ashley Stowers wedding on September 17 in Houston, Texas. She will be joined in Holy Matrimony to a young man from Laurel-Soso area, Duran Evans. He also graduated from Mississippi State University.

Sympathy to the Davis families in the passing of Charlie Fred Davis. His service was last Saturday at Mapp Funeral Home Chapel. His interment was the Masonic Cemetery in Morton, Mississippi. His service was s entrusted to Mapp Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Virrie Mae Davis of Morton, Mississippi; two loving sisters, Mrs. Nobie DeDeaux of New Orleans, Louisiana and Mrs. Sarah A. Harper of Morton, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Taneshia, Sade, Shaquille, India, Imani and Henry; four god-children, Victoria, Jesse, Natasha and Sa’Barbara; a special sister-in-law, Jacqueline Johnson. A host of nieces and nephews.
Steele Baptist Church will celebrate their revival on September 17, 2023. Will include more next week.
