Wilsons enjoy Texas trip
Midway M. B. Church Clean Up Day will be April 27, starting at 11:00 a.m. All members are asked to come and be helpers of the church.

Dr. Locord Wilson and husband Tom Wilson motored to Arlington, Texas on last Friday. Their granddaughter Jayla Greer was one of the star players in the play “Bonnets”. The play was hosted by the Drama Department at the University of Texas in Arlington. The play was a great success and Jayla was one of the lead players. Continue Jayla to do so well in your endeavors. Her sister Tamyra was not able to attend Friday Night showing because she was competing for a state title at her school in Pearland. Girls you are doing wonderful.
Congratulations to Newton Freshman Melissa Norman who was recognized as Honorable Mention, Short Story – The Giver Continuation. The award was given by the Eudora Welty Foundation, the Eudora Welty House and Garden, and the C’Spire Foundation awarded her accomplishment in the year’s Scholastic Writing Awards. Her high school teacher is Ms. Tracy Patrick
Melissa and her teacher, Ms. Tracy Patrick were invited to the Scholastic Writing Awards program on Aril 14, 2023 in Jackson, Ms. Accompanying Melissa Norman to the program was her teacher, Ms. Patrick and was Alexiah Shepard.
Sympathy to the Johnson Family in the passing of Margaret Johnson. Her life was honored in the presence of family and friends at Little Rock M. B. Church in Forest on last Saturday. In lieu of Flowers the family is requesting donations to the Alzheimer’s Association. Check donations should be made out to the Alzheimer’s Associations along with the donation form available on Team Margaret’s (Kim Cager) fundraising page. All arrangements were entrusted to Evans Memorial Funeral Home.
