Words of Appreciation: Personal, to very special long-time friend Chantelle Herchenhahn for the recent sweet note of congratulations/encouragement. She has been doing this most thoughtful thing to me for years. Hand written notes, taking time to write/send in the mail is becoming obsolete, making the effort is only more precious.
Also to the Independence Methodist Church family and volunteers for sponsoring the invitational family oriented Hospitality Cook Out there on Saturday afternoon. Those donating food and preparation were: Stacy Stegall-Brunswkic Stew. Franky and Lawanda McCaughn-BBQ Ribs and Dusty and Jason McCaughn-Fish fry (both catfish and bream). A full house gathering of church members friends and neighbors enjoyed this wonderful outing. Needless to say the additional side dishes/desserts made the event even more wonderful. Rev. Paul McDonald, pastor and many dedicated workers cooked the main dishes all day in much less than ideal weather conditions. Thanks for the blessings and memories.

Her ongoing service and support for the organization has been outstanding. The program on native and migrating birds sighted in our area with information of habitat, etc, and lovely pictures was presented by Diane. Sharing the delicious refreshments provided by members was the final activity.

Sittin’ and thinkin’: To all mothers (biological, adoptive, foster and those taking on the role of mother for the second or third time as grands/great grands. Prayers are that your Mother’s Day was rewarding/safe. “Feelings for Mother” from one of my children…You taught me to walk..I learned to fly. You taught me to dream..I learned to try. You taught me to share…I learned to give. You taught me love that’s how I live. So much of the person I am comes from you — the amazing woman you are.
