Morton United Methodist Church invites those wishing to observe Ash Wednesday to do so from 7:30 AM-12 noon and at the Ash Wednesday Service at 5:45 PM.

The Annual Lenten Lunches at Morton UMC are scheduled on Wednesdays throughout the Lenten Season. The first lunch/fellowship is scheduled for 12 noon-1:00 p.m. on February 25th and each following Wednesday. Everyone is invited to attend. There will be an opportunity to receive both physical and spiritual nourishment. Designated speakers will bring an important message on each Wednesday during the season.

Travelin’, visitin’ and such: Morton Homemaker Volunteers enjoyed a “Dutch Treat” Friendship Lunch at Penn’s Restaurant for their February meeting. Following the meal/fellowship a brief business meeting was held. Two guests, April McQueen and Alana Miles were invited to join the 13 members attending. Table decorations appropriate for the LOVE season were provided by Florence Measells including takeaway red roses.
Guess there were many travelers attending a Super Bowl Party somewhere. Hope your favorite team won. Of course, the Seattle Seahawks won-as predicted.
Morton MHV Activities-January
Morton MHV January meeting held at Morton Public Library on the 7th was hosted by all members, 2026 Yearbooks were discussed and hostess responsibilities were assigned, support of Morton Public Library and care pantry, Brittney’s Memorial Closet (donations and volunteer hours), We Care Thrift Store, attended MSU/Scott County Awards Luncheon, turned in Fairway Food Store receipts for the club treasury were the month activities. Individual and club monetary awards earned gave a generous boost to the club treasury. Appreciation goes out to all members for a great 2025 club year.
