Mrs. Helen Morgan, age 71, and a resident of Forest MS, passed away on March 28, 2021 at her home.
Born to Jerome and Ruby Cooper Measells on May 31, 1949 in Morton, MS she lived most of her life in Scott County. She attended Morton School and after graduation she continued her education to become a teacher and taught in the Scott County School system for many years. She loved her students, enjoyed workshops, seminars and was a fan of Facebook. Her family was very important to her, and spending time with them brought great joy.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Frank Morgan, in 2009; parents, Jerome and Ruby Measells; brother, O.T. Measells; and brother-in-law, Ellie Phillips.
She is survived by two sons, Trey Morgan and Daniel Morgan, his wife, Debbie; three grandchildren, Casey Henslee, Joey Morgan, Tanner Morgan; two great grandchildren; sister, Pat Phillips; brother, Jerry Measells, his wife Debbie.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home In Morton, MS and on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:50 with the Funeral at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home In Morton.
Interment will be in Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
