NATIONAL SUMMARY
The second winter storm in less than a week will impact
portions of the Southeast tomorrow. Snow will fall in
central and southern Virginia, western and central North
Carolina, upstate South Carolina and northeastern Georgia.
The heaviest snow will be in southeastern Virginia and
north-central North Carolina, where roads will be
snow-packed and slippery. Ice will cause potential power
outages in central and eastern South Carolina and eastern
North Carolina. Rain will fall in the Outer Banks of North
Carolina as well as from central Georgia to northern
Florida. Meanwhile, a few thunderstorms are expected to
rumble in South Florida. A bit of snow will fall in the
northern Plains and central Rockies. A frigid day is
expected in northern Maine, where it may stay below zero.
