The Nation's Weather for Saturday, January 22, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A spotty early-morning rain or snow shower will be possible
in the Outer Banks of North Carolina as a winter storm pulls
away tomorrow. Unrelated to the winter storm, a bit of
ocean-effect snow is likely on Cape Cod and on Martha's
Vineyard and Nantucket Island in Massachusetts. A cold front
moving through the Florida Peninsula will bring the risk of
showers, but any rain is not expected to be heavy. A rumble
of thunder cannot be ruled out in South Florida, although
severe weather is not expected. Light snow of an inch or
less will fall in much of North Dakota. Similar snow amounts
are expected in a separate area in Michigan, but several
inches could accumulate in the western portion of the Lower
Peninsula. A weak disturbance may cause some light rain and
high-elevation snow in Arizona and New Mexico.
