The Nation's Weather for Friday, February 17, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A cold front moving to the East Coast can make for a damp
morning from central and southern New England all the way to
Georgia. The most concentrated rain is expected from
southeastern Virginia to southern Vermont and New Hampshire.
A rumble of thunder will even be possible from southern New
York and southern Connecticut to southeastern Virginia.
However, severe weather is not expected. In the colder air,
snow showers will occur in northern New England and much of
upstate New York. Warm ground will preclude much in the way
of accumulation, with an inch or less in most locations. A
bit of snow can fall in the Washington Cascades, northern
Idaho and northwestern Montana. Otherwise, the rest of the
West and the Plains can anticipate a dry day.
