NATIONAL SUMMARY
A large zone of thunderstorms will be across much of the
Southeast and southern mid-Atlantic tomorrow. Thunderstorms
developing late in the afternoon from Nebraska to Oklahoma
can bring flooding downpours, large hail and damaging wind
gusts. These storms can make it as far east as central Iowa
to western Arkansas during the evening. Rapid snowmelt can
lead to flooding from northeastern Montana eastward to the
Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Rain falling in North Dakota
and northern Minnesota could further exacerbate the
situation. Snow showers are likely to change to rain showers
during the afternoon in the northern and central Rockies.
Record highs will be challenged in the Northeast, with some
locations possibly even getting to 90 F.
