The Nation's Weather for Thursday, June 8, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Much of the interior West will have afternoon thunderstorms
tomorrow that will be concentrated primarily in Wyoming and
western Montana. Spotty afternoon thunderstorms will rumble
in the Gulf Coast. Much of the Northeast can have a few
showers, although they will do little to ease the growing
drought. Meanwhile, wildfire smoke from large fires in
Canada will continue to move southward into the eastern
Great Lakes and northern mid-Atlantic. This will cause a
haze in some locations. Where the smoke is thickest, it can
even dim or block the sun and times and lead to poor air
quality. The day will start with low clouds along the coast
of Southern California, with a mix of sun and clouds by the
afternoon.
