The Nation's Weather for Sunday, June 18, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Tomorrow brings the continued risk for severe thunderstorms
in parts of the South, with damaging winds, hail and even
the chance for localized flash flooding in place from far
southeastern Kansas into northern Louisiana and much of
Alabama. Additional thunderstorms are expected in Florida.
Elsewhere, a powerful cold front will deliver enough chilly
air that some mountain snow is expected, with showers near
and along the Pacific Northwest coastline and thunderstorms
farther east into Idaho and Montana. Thunderstorms are also
expected to spread into portions of the Midwest through the
daytime hours. A persistent disturbance will continue to
pull away from the Northeast, and showers will remain mostly
confined to New England. The mid-Atlantic and the Southwest
should remain dry.
