NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms capable of producing flash flooding and
damaging winds will rumble from Missouri east-southeastward
to northern Georgia and western North Carolina tomorrow. The
risk of severe weather will linger into the evening from
southern Illinois and southern Indiana southeastward to
northern Georgia and western South Carolina. Farther west,
afternoon thunderstorms in eastern Colorado, southern
Nebraska and northern Kansas can bring flooding downpours,
large hail and damaging wind gusts. Those storms will move
eastward and into northern Missouri overnight. Meanwhile,
temperatures will continue to be well above the historical
average in much of the South. Heat will also build in
California, with the highest temperatures so far this year
in the Sacramento and San Joaquin valleys.
