The Nation's Weather for Saturday, October 14, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Tomorrow, the core of a significant disturbance will shift
from the Great Lakes region to the mid-Atlantic coastline as
the day progresses, bringing a soaking rain from Lower
Michigan and portions of Ohio through Long Island. Thunder
will be possible on the southern end of the storm, as far
south as coastal South Carolina. Behind the storm, cooler
air will filter into parts of the Midwest, but a few showers
will remain possible. Numerous showers and some
thunderstorms will also bring some downpours to South
Florida, most likely well south of cities such as Tampa and
Orlando. Showers will tend to increase in coverage across
the Pacific Northwest coastline through the day as a new
storm arrives, but most of the western half of the nation
will be dry after early thundershowers exit South Texas.
