NATIONAL SUMMARY
The latest major storm in the East will lift northward into
Canada tomorrow, with snow gradually winding down from
eastern West Virginia through much of Maine as rain and wind
decrease in intensity across New England. Behind this storm,
lake-effect snow will develop around all of the Great Lakes,
with a separate zone of snow building into the Upper
Midwest. Showers and some thunderstorms will dot the
southern half of the Florida Peninsula, with most places
from northern Florida through the South likely staying dry.
The West will be more active as a storm continues to push
onshore, with a major freezing rain event expected in
northwestern Oregon, including cities such as Eugene and
Portland. Rain will extend southward through Northern
California, with snow from the Oregon Cascades to Utah.
