NATIONAL SUMMARY
The risk for days of severe thunderstorms will return to the
Central states tomorrow as a disturbance takes shape. These
storms will bring the potential for destructive hail,
intense downpours, damaging wind gusts and even some
tornadoes from southern South Dakota into northern Oklahoma
and portions of western Missouri. Widespread thunderstorms
are also expected from Florida northward across much of the
mid-Atlantic, with some storms also developing through
portions of the Appalachian Mountains, especially from
Virginia into Tennessee. The day is expected to start out
damp around southeastern New England before some afternoon
breaks in the clouds. Showers will become numerous through
the northern Rockies, with some additional spotty showers
for mainly western Washington and Oregon.
