NATIONAL SUMMARY
Heavy showers and thunderstorms from a tropical rainstorm
will stretch from southeastern Louisiana to northern Florida
and southern Georgia tomorrow. Thunderstorms along a cold
front will rumble through eastern Michigan, northern Indiana
and much of Ohio. Spotty thunderstorms will extend southward
as far south as eastern Texas and western Louisiana. A
separate area of spotty thunderstorms is also expected
across West Texas. Showers will dampen the Upper Midwest and
western Great Lakes. Dry thunderstorms will be capable of
sparking new wildfires in northeastern California and
western Nevada. There can be waterspouts near the shorelines
of Lake Superior and northern Lake Michigan. Unusually rough
surf and rip currents will stir up the water from eastern
Long Island southward to the Outer Banks.
