The Nation's Weather for Saturday, December 21, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
An arctic air mass will slide into the Northeast tomorrow,
leaving many in the Great Lakes region and Northeast with
high temperatures in the teens and 20s. Highs can be in the
low to mid-30s along the coast. Due to the breeze,
temperatures will feel like they are in the single digits to
teens in the afternoon and more like it's midwinter. There
can be some spotty snow showers across the Northeast with
flurries tapering off earlier in the day for most. A little
lake-effect snow may occur near the southern shore of Lake
Ontario and northeastern Ohio south of Lake Erie. A storm on
the West Coast will bring rain to much of Northern
California, western Oregon and Washington, with some
mountain snow possible in the Cascades. The Plains and
Southeast are expected to be dry and colder.
