NATIONAL SUMMARY
A southward-moving front will bring cooler, seasonable
conditions to the Northeast tomorrow. To the south, showers
and thunderstorms are expected in the Ohio Valley, mid-
Atlantic, and interior Southeast. Storms will be capable of
frequent lightning and heavy rain, and a few storms may
produce damaging wind gusts at times. Monsoon-driven rain
and thunderstorms will continue across the Southwest,
stretching from Southern California to Colorado and New
Mexico. While rain will be spotty in nature, localized flash
flooding is possible. High heat will begin to build in the
Northwest, with highs in the 90s and 100s for most of Oregon
and Washington. Slightly warmer-than-normal conditions will
continue in the southern Plains, with a few showers and
storms farther north.
