The Nation's Weather for Friday, August 12, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
More comfortable conditions will expand across the Northeast
tomorrow as humidity levels drop and cooler air arrives. It
will be mainly dry throughout the Ohio Valley, mid-Atlantic
states and New England, aside from a shower in eastern
Massachusetts. A slow-moving frontal boundary stretching
from Texas to the Carolinas will ignite rounds of showers
and thunderstorms. Across the Midwest, occasional showers will
dampen parts of Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. An
influx of moisture over the West will spark an uptick in
thunderstorms from Montana to Arizona and New Mexico. Areas
along the West Coast will remain dry and fairly warm with
abundant sunshine.
