Life is a Gift
Good Morning/Evening!
It’s a new week, and I hope you all had a great weekend even if things were not as we wanted, it was blessed and predestined by God. Nothing happens that He doesn’t know about; but He is there with us at all times we just only have to call, not by phone but from heart to heart. I can witness that He will respond!
On Sunday, Pastor Henderson’s message came from Amos 8:14; subject: “Why Waste Your Opportunity.” It was a inspiring word, in that it made me think more of what the whole chapter was about. So I read it when I got home and it became clear. The Lord gives us so much and we are so stingy with our thanks and praise. We take everyday provisions for granted, we place other things before God. We at times never call His name until something bad happens (not cool).
He deserves our attention at all time, through the good times and bad. God says, “I will send a famine in the land.” He is not talking about food or water, but a famine of the hearing of His Word. A time when we will seek to hear from him and not hear. We have time to form a relationship with God, to get the word of truth into our hearts and mind that it shall be with us always, even when our bibles are not. We have Opportunity now, in Sunday School, Bible Study, and Worship Services. Make yourself available to God!
We our praying for all the sick and shut-ins, the lost, the troubled and confused souls, our country leaders, churches and Pastors.
