Pray
Good Morning/Evening!
The LORD has once again covered us in the storms and gave us new mercies this beautiful Monday!
Never stop praying and trusting God. Sometimes He answers us in ways we would never expect. When our hearts are full of anxiety-pray. When we feel alone and helpless-pray. When we don’t know what to do-pray. When we feel like there’'s no way out- pray. God says, “Those who truly have a God-fearing heart in both big and small matters, will look to God, pray to God, entrust everything to God, and then see God leads and guides them. Once you learn to exercise your faith, you will be able to trust Him in all things and start to understand that seeking God first in all aspects of life is very rewarding spiritually, such joy comes through God’s grace.” Prayers will open the door to your heart, and you will know that God is listening, in fact He already knows what what we’re in need of before we ask, but the asking tells Him that we know our help comes from Him.
This past week and weekend, I and others needed to really stand steadfast on our faith and trust in God. There was heartbreaking news of the death of Elder Arthur L. Kennedy, Leader of Agape Faith Full Gospel Fellowship Church. A well known man in the community. And there were other members of the Midway/North Scott family who died during the week.....Mrs. Willie Maude Lyles-Shepard; Ms. Vernita “Ollie”' McClendon.
We also pray for the families of Mr. Keegan Robinson; and the Beamon/Darby family. We are all saddened but we are comforted by the gracious love of God.
We are in continued intercessory prayers for all the sick and shut-ins everywhere. Our requested prayer names: Emma Jones; Dessie Evans; Bobby Joe Harrison; Darlene Patrick; David Parrott; Willie Townsend; Jessie Gatewood; LaDonna Murray; Trena Coleman; Jimmy McClendon; Gail Johnson; Jarutha Wilson; Onnie Bobbitt; Cordelia Brown; Sandra Odom; Margie Haralson; Verbie Lyles; Shirley McClendon; Shirley Turner; Jonathan Darby; Edward Lacy; Vera Butler; Ronnie Williams; Odessa Hale; Virginia Tucker; Earlene Williams; Betty Flowers; Burnestine Spivey; Jewel White; Mary Stowers; Floyzell Williams; Shamica Young; Dorothy Pinkston; and all their caregivers.
On Saturday we attended New Friendship Church Women's Program at Kat’s Cave. Their theme was “Having a Heart for God!” Guest speaker was Minister Gloria Willis of Truelight M.B. Church. Her topic was “A Heart Aligned with Heaven!” It was a message well received by all the beautiful ladies there. We had a glorious time, the food and decorations were great, but the Word and fellowship was priceless! Thank you New Friendship for the invite!
Midway Freewill Baptist Church will be having VBS on June 9th-June 11th at 6:00P.M. Theme-”Live It Out!!” There will be fun, food, games and prizes. Teaching the kids how to love like Jesus. Closing the week out on the 14th of June with a Cookout, water games and fellowship. All are invited.
Hope everyone has a great summer vacation, be safe!
