God Can!
Good Morning/Evening!
So many times we hear people tell us “you handled that well.” We may say thanks or just smile humbly. But inside you’re thinking, did I really handle it well, or did I just hide my feelings well enough for nobody to notice that I wasn’t okay? I often wonder what they would say if they knew how often I have cried out to God..Please just help me get through this.
To the world we may look strong, but inside we know we have only made it this far because of God’s grace. He is the One who has been holding me together when I thought I would completely fall apart. So let’s be clear, I didn’t handle it well — God did. And I am so thankful that He is still handling it!
Whenever you feel like you can’t, just remember God can! Whatever you need, God’s got it, and as Pastor Derricks said in one of his sermons, “It’s In Transit” meaning help is on the way.
On Saturday we attended Parade of Colors and their Biblical meanings at Harmony M. B. Church sponsored by the Sisters With A Vision. The guest speaker was Sister Davida Monya Fletcher. She spoke truth to all the ladies; her subject was “I AM Enough”. Subtopic, “Embracing God’s Grace Through My Story!”
And on Sunday we attended Family and Friends Day at Lone Pilgrim M. B. Church. Rev. Eric Jones, Pastor of Bethlehem M. B. Church delivered the message, from Job 1:6-8; subject: “I don’t know why my name keeps coming up!” It was an amazing spiritual weekend.
