Follow the Star
Good Morning/Evening!
On Sunday morning Pastor Henderson’s scripture reading was Matthew 2:1-2 “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews for we have seen his star in the east, and have come to worship him.”
His sermon subject was “Where is Our Star Leading Us?” If we’re not following in God’s will, we are probably looking at the wrong star. We should regularly check our road map (Bible) to be sure we are on the right path and listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit when we need to detour, stop, or make a u-turn. We certainly don’t want to go so far that we cannot get back or see clearly the star leading us to Jesus!
On Saturday I attended the funeral service of a well-known lady, Sis. Jarutha Wilson! She was a beautiful Spirit to everyone. She was one of the ladies that helped me to follow my passion of becoming an usher and taught me so much about the ministry of ushering. I’ll always remember her dedication to it. My prayers and love to her family!

Christmas is almost here and sometimes it’s hard to feel the excitement that once came at this time; but I’ve come to realize we have more to celebrate now that we know Jesus is the Reason for the Season, and more than that Jesus is the Season of joy, happiness, love and all that is good!!
Celebrate the Priceless Precious Gift of the Holy Spirit!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
