The Five Finger Prayer
Good Morning/Evening!
“You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11 (ESV)
SHARING: The 5 Finger Prayer...
Your Thumb - as the nearest finger, it is a reminder to pray for those close to you, like family and friends.
Pointer finger - pray for those who teach, instruct, and heal. Like teachers, doctors, and ministers.
Middle finger - as the tallest, it reminds us to pray for our leaders, including government officials, administrators, and business leaders.
Ring finger - as the weakest, may it remind us to pray for those who are struggling, feeling weak, and are in need.
Pinky finger - as the smallest, it should remind us to pray for ourselves. When we are done praying for others we will be able to see our own needs in perspective.
Putting others well-being before ours is the purest form of obedience to the command of Jesus. It’s not about us but about doing the Will of our Father.
We are as always in continued intercessory prayers for our neighbors near and far, known and unknown. Our prayers reach God’s ears and His responses reaches those we cannot.
