Leon Stuart, age 71, and a resident of Morton passed away on Thursday April 26, 2018.
Services were held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ott and Lee Chapel in Morton MS, with Bro. Donnie Stuart and Bro. Barron Price officiating. Interment was at Cooperville Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Ott and Lee Funeral Home of Morton.
Visitation was on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Sunday April 29, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Bro. Leon was the pastor of Decedar Baptist Church at Lawrence, MS. He loved his Lord and His church. He was a member of UKC and Coon Hunters Association. He enjoyed coon hunting and working. Spending time with his family brought him great joy.
Preceding Leon in death are his father and mother: A.W. and Ida Lou Stuart and his first wife: Shirley Stuart.
Survivors include his wife Penny Stuart; one daughter: Lorie Shoemaker, two sons: Lee Stuart, and his wife Stacey and Larry Stuart, and his wife Brandy; one brother: Howard Stuart, and his wife Patsy; two sisters: Vivian Adcox, and her husband Leon and Brenda Kay Stuart; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
