A. C. Swanson, 76, of Forest, Mississippi, died Friday, June 26, 2020, at his home. He was born Friday, May 5, 1944 in Bruce, Mississippi.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home-Forest. Funeral Services followed in the chapel at 2:00 PM. Burial was in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. David Goree and Rev. Joey Smith officiated. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Forest was in charge of arrangements. (601) 469-1941. A.C. was a member of Bruce Church of Christ and attended Ridge Baptist Church until it closed and then attended Steele Baptist Church. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Aycock Swanson and his parents, Choice and Earlene Swanson.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Swanson; children, Roger Swanson, Mickey Swanson (Janet), Theresa Pumphrey (Jimmy), Becky King (Dale), and Darlene Lindsey (Larry); his brother, Earl Swanson (Barbara); his sister, Bobbie Sue Swanson (Steve); Ten Grandchildren and 23 Great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Andy Ball, Jeff Craig, Sam Taylor, Robert King, Billy Fallin, and C.J. Martin.
