Mrs. Janett Bailey, age 83 and a longtime resident of Forest, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 under the professional care of the staff at Mississippi Care Center at Morton where she was a current resident.
Funeral services were conducted from the First Pentecostal Church in Forest at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Rev. Bill Pitman officiated. Interment followed in the Red Top Union Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Saturday.
The Neshoba County native was a homemaker and a Christian by testimony of her faith in Jesus Christ. She had a determination about her that displayed her character of being strong willed. Mrs. Bailey loved her family dearly and shared a special closeness with her sisters. Gardening, going to rummage sales, and driving through the countryside were favorite past times.
She leaves behind two sisters: Mary Ruth Pinter of Morton and Dot Renfroe of Lena; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband: Kenneth Bailey; her parents: James Walter “Jim” and Nealy Ezelle Page; her siblings: two sisters: Grace Goss and Maggie Williams and two brothers: Buddy Page and Levee Page.
Serving as pallbearers were David Renfroe, Daniel Renfroe, Mark Pinter, Nathaniel Lewis, Jeff Price and Billy Perkins.
