MORTON - Mrs. Geneva Thompson Harrell was born in Rankin County on October 24, 1937, to her parents Albert and Wilma Franklin Thompson. She passed away December 19, 2019 at her home at the age of 82.
Mrs. Harrell enjoyed reading, fishing and most of all, playing dominoes. She was a retired employee of TALON, Inc. and a member of Morton United Pentecostal Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Bennie Ray Harrell; one son: Danny Harrell; one great-grandson: Clay Hallman; her parents: Albert and Wilma Thompson; and four siblings: Merl Thompson, Billy Ray Thompson, Janell Gray and Mary Lee Floyd.
Survivors include two children: Vickie (Bobby) Harrison of Pulaski and Glen (Amy) Harrell of Morton; one daughter-in-law: Renae Harrell Skipper; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother: Joey Thompson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from the Morton United Pentecostal Church. Interment followed in the Groveton Presbyterian Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home.
Bro. Barron Price, Bro. Paul Smith, Bro. Bryce Harrell and Bro. Robert Hallman officiated the service.
Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the church. An additional visitation will also begin at 12 noon Sunday at Morton United Pentecostal Church.
Serving as pallbearers were Brian Harrell, Corey Harrell, Brennan Harrell, Justin Harrison, Nic Callahan, and Joe Yates.
Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. Geneva’s domino playing friends: Mrs. Ruby Henry, Mrs. Bobbie Sue Gilbert, Mrs. Carol Stokley, Mrs. Peggy McClain, Mrs. Freda Keyes, and Mrs. Joan Bates.
