Mr. Ricky Marion “R.D.” Dennis, age 69, passed away Tuesday January 8, 2019 at Anderson Hospital in Meridian, MS. Visitation was held Friday January 11, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Saturday January 12, 2019 from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Services followed on January 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Lake, MS. Burial followed at Dennis Cemetery in Lake, MS. Officiating was Bro. Bobby Boyles. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Dennis lived most of his life in Scott County. He was a Baptist by Faith and attended The Pointe in Brandon, MS and Sandridge Baptist Church in Lake, MS. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and loved knitting and scuba diving.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold E. and Iva Jean Dennis; his brothers, Glenn, Terry, and Roy Lee Dennis; his sister, Debra Faye Crawford. He is survived by two daughters, Angela M. Dennis of Brandon, MS; Melissa D. Dennis of Brandon, MS; his son, Ricky E. Dennis of Brandon, MS; his sister, Iva Dean Smith of Decatur, MS; his brother, Ronnie D. Dennis of Laurel, MS. four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; Also, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Harold Wesley Dennis, Charles Darren Ross, Terry W. Dennis, Jr., Chris McElhenney, Cory Jolly and Chad Dennis. Honorary Pallbearers were Ricky E. Dennis and Ronnie D. Dennis.
