Tommye Dee Waggoner
Mrs. Tommye Dee Waggoner, age 98, passed away Wednesday October 10, 2018 at Mississippi Care Center in Morton, MS. Visitation was held Friday October 12, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday October 13, 2018 from 9:00 a.m until 9:50 a.m. at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Services were held Saturday October 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS. Burial was at Clifton Baptist Cemetery, there was no graveside services. Officiating was Bro. Paul Smith and Bro. Kenny Lang. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Waggoner was a lifelong resident of the Clifton Community, and a member at Clifton Baptist Church in Forest, MS. She was a member of the Clifton quilters club and the homemaker club. She was an avid vegetable and flower gardner and served as a Sunday school teacher at Clifton Baptist Church for many years and she served as a volunteer room mother for the kids school activities. Mrs. Waggoner loved spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Barney Lee Waggoner; two sons, Thomas Edward and Austin Lee Waggoner; her grandson, Jeffrey Thomas Crain; great grandson, Daniel Jared Gunn; brothers, Leo, Leon and Odell Robinson; sisters, Effie Bennett; Essie McCraw; Exie Burkes; Pauline Holland. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Kirby of Forest, MS; Hilda Crain of Forest, MS; her sister, Vernice Wilson of Lenoir, NC; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren. A number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jamie Whatley, Joey Crain, Robbie Crain, Justin Gunn, Scott Monk, and Jacob Gunn.
