It was Homecoming last Friday night in Morton and the Panthers wasted no time in satisfying the home crowd in their 51-7 whipping of the Richland Rangers. This week the Panthers, now 3-3 on the season, head south to Mendenhall where they hope to grab another W against the Tigers, also 3-3, who lost 37-26 to Forest last week.
The Bearcats, 5-1, will travel down Hwy. 35 to Raleigh this week where they hope to notch up another win against the Lions also 5-1. Mendenhall blanked McLaurin 57-0 last week.
The Lake Hornets, now 3-3, crushed the Newton Tigers on the road last week 38-14. The Hornets return home this week to host Puckett. The Wolves, 1-5, were blown out by Scott Central last week 49-0. The Rebels, now with their first win under their belt, travel to Leake Central this week where they hope to add another one in the win column against a 4-2 Gator team that won a high-scoring 60-27 match against Choctaw Central last week.
And finally, the Sebastopol Bobcats lost in a heartbreaker 6-0 on the road at Noxapater last week. Sebastopol, now 2-4 on the season heads to McAdams this week. The Bulldogs, 4-1, lost to Ethel last week, 28-14.
