Food For Thought: The first Labor Day Parade was held in 1882 in New York City. Two years later the Knights of Labor adopted a resolution that the first Monday in September be considered Labor Day. Labor Day became a Federal Holiday in 1894. How did you celebrate this day? Some of us take it as a day to rest. Some of us have to work on this day. Labor Day is also considered the unofficial end to summer. Did you know Labor Day is considered the end of white pants season. (wow) Labor Day Sales, most popular cookout day etc. We are the American Workers. We work, we play, that’s why we have this day. No matter your occupation there’s one thing for sure every worker needs to rest I hope you enjoyed your Labor Day.
