Announcement: Fourteen elected to Scott County Sports Hall of Fame. The ceremony is set for 5:00 p.m. April 25, 2026 at the Livingston Performing Arts Center, Roosevelt State Park. Morton, MS. The “Sid Salter Sports Contributor Award” will also be introduced.

On April 11, 2026 a Celebration of Life service was held for Mrs. Ruby Jewel Lassiter. Mrs. Lassiter was a long-time residence of Pelahatchie, MS. Rev. Frank Washington, Officiated. Services were held at the Scott County District Building. Keep this family in your prayers.
Food For Thought: We know that a Revival refers to a spiritual reawakening, renewal, or an increased passion in one’s faith. I believe there was truly a reawakening at Pleasant Hill M.B. Church during our Spring Revival as Rev. Perry Fletcher delivered his messages. Monday night; scripture reference 1 Kings 17:1-7. Subject; Even when you can’t see it. Tuesday night; 1 Kings 17:7-12. Subject; Even when it doesn’t look like it. God is working on our behalf even when we can’t see it. We need to trust His character over our circumstances…
