Thanksgiving 2023

Food For Thought: Now, we all enjoy Thanksgiving, we get to be with family and friends from far and near. We get to throw away our diet and make happy faces with our plates. In school we learn to associate Thanksgiving with a feast between Pilgrims and Native Americans, along with crafts. Thanksgiving allows us time to look back and reflect and be thankful.
We should be thankful that we don’t already have everything we desire. If we did, what would there be to look forward to? Being thankful when we don’t know something, it gives us the opportunity to learn. Being thankful for the difficult times, allows us time to grow. Being thankful for our limitations, gives us opportunities for improvement. It’s easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment comes to us when we can acknowledge our set-backs. One of the beautiful things about Thanksgiving is that it gives us a specific time to reflect on the wonderful blessings we all enjoy. We are so thankful for friends and family, those treasured people who make our lives extra special. We are part of that cherished group. We are special. On Thanksgiving, and every day we appreciate YOU, our readers. Be safe and have a “Happy Thanksgiving”.
