Low in the grave He lay, Jesus our Savior,
He arose!
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whosoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he shall live.” (John 11:25 ESV)
The Christian meaning of Easter is triumph over death. Jesus’ Resurrection means that eternal life is granted to all who believe in Him. Had He not risen from the dead, or simply died and not been resurrected from the dead, He would have been thought just another teacher or prophet. His resurrection rebuked all, that He was the Son of God and He overcame death once and for all.
The origin of the Easter bunny can be dated back to the 13th century in Germany. They worshipped the pagan god’s and goddess. One such was Eastre, the god of fertility and spring. Eggs are the perfect symbol s of new life, just as Christians find new life in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The legend has it, that the Easter bunny lays the eggs, decorates and hides eggs, for good children to find, as they are a symbol of new life. Dressing up for Easter is a tradition that goes back to medieval times. They began to wear new, clean clothes on Easter Sunday to symbolize the resurrection of Jesus Christ and new life for believers. In 300 A.D. the Roman Emperor Constantine declared his court would wear their nicest and newest clothing on Easter Sunday. (My prayer is, that if you are not a believer, you take this Christian holiday serious, and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. We are all but one breath away from eternity.)
Used Soap - A Clean Start: Each day 3 million bars of used Hotel soap is thrown out. Technical Executive, Shawn Seipler thought that was a shame, given each day 9,000 children, worldwide, die from hygiene related illnesses. Seipler launched a non-profit “Clean The World Foundation” to collect used soap from Hotel chains. Hair, dirt and debris are filtered out in a refining machine. What remains of the soap is pulverized and compressed into new bars of soap. Since 2009 this group has sent 68 million bars to 127 countries around the world. Seipler told “That little bar left in hotel rooms, can Literally save a Life.”
Life is an elevator. On your way up, sometimes you have to stop and let some people off. Don’t carry your mistakes with you, instead place them as stepping stones to rise above them.
“Rolling Stone” is how Biden addressed the town of Rolling Fork where the tornadoes hit he, seemingly can’t even read the teleprompter? The tornadoes that hit them is being compared, in strength, to Hurricane Katrina in 2005. It is so sad for the deaths and injuries and to see the devastation that was left behind. Our thoughts and prayers for all involved.
