This is the week! Friday, April 4, at 2 p.m. the CCC Campground at Roosevelt State Park in Morton will reopen. The campground as well as the R.O. Hannah Campground have undergone extensive renovations and are now ready for summer enjoyment.
The event will include light refreshments and attendees can speak with the park team about all of the upgrades to the campsites, restrooms and beach area. Reservations for the campground opened Tuesday.
This is not the grand re-opening of the park, but just a soft introduction to all of the renovations at the CCC Campground.
Roosevelt will host a grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting event in May where they will commemorate the upgrades to the cabins, R.O. Hannah and CCC Campgrounds. Dates and times will be announced soon.
The park has 110 newly renovated RV campsites. Each newly renovated campsite includes:
• Full hookup with water, electricity and sewer
• Picnic table
• Grill
Roosevelt also has other new renovations and amenities such as four newly renovated bathhouses, kayak rentals, pickle ball court, newly refinished pool slide, and camp store.
Guests can enjoy weekend long activities at the park such as fishing, boating, day-use area including playground, nature trail, disc golf, and tennis courts. Entry fee to the park is $2.00 per person and children ages 5 and under are free.
