Scott Central Kindergarten classes celebrated Dental Health Month with a visit from a former student, Bailey Easterling Batte. She is currently a senior at the University of Southern Mississippi and will graduate in May with a degree in Molecular Biology.
After graduation she will begin her pursuit of her last degree, which is that of becoming a dentist. Batte and Jordyn Nelson visited with Callie Thornhill, Cara Barber, and Morgan Lyles’ classes and taught them how to correctly brush and floss each day. She used a model that the students loved provided new dental hygiene items donated by Woods Dental Clinic for each student.
Batte had also prepared teacher packets and student packets for each teacher and student with fun activities and information on dental health.
Scott Central thanks Batte for giving back to the school and community. She is the wife of Aaron Batte. They have a four year old son, Pasen and they live in Homewood.
