Homecoming Week
Congratulations to the Sebastopol Spirit Band for Superior Rating at the West Lauderdale band contest on Saturday. Also congratulations on being named Best Band in Class A. Best wishes for a repeat performance at East Mississippi Community College competition this Saturday, Oct. 5.
This week’s activities at Sebastopol School: Friday, homecoming game against Mt. Olive at 7 p.m.; Saturday, volleyball round one playoff game; band contest at EMCC.
Sebastopolooza this Saturday. Activities include a performance by Holly Brand, 5K run, kids fun run, food booths, mule pull, kids zone, car show, bake off, clothesline art, and corn hole.
November 9, 2024 is the date for the Jingle and Mingle Market. Contact Doug Kelley if you are interested in having a booth for this event.
FYI: Tent Revival, Hwy 15 and 492 intersection, Earl Lair Park, Union, MS–Oct. 23-25, 7 p.m. and Oct 26–6 p.m. Free food 30 minutes prior to the service.
Reminder: Salem Church (Hwy. 487) has new hours for services. Sunday–Sunday School at 10 a.m , morning worship service at 11 a.m.; Wednesday night services–adult Bible study at 6 o’clock in the fellowship hall and youth activities at 6 o’clock in the youth room. Food will be served on Wednesday night. Bro. David Rives will be bringing the morning messages. All are welcome to attend.
Mark your calendars for Sebastopolooza, October 5 and October 12 for the Bailey Reunion.
Make plans now to attend the Fall Festival at Salem Church (Hwy. 487) at 5 p.m. October 19. There will be a Christian themed trunk or treat, games, cake walk, and a stew. You are invited to attend this event. No charge to participate. Come enjoy the fun and fellowship.
Please continue to pray for a special group of young people who need the continued touch from the Great Physician: Salem Bennett, Sam McNaugh, Bentley Strickland, Maci Hamilton, Matthew O’Neal. Adding a new one to this list–Baby Lee Wilson who is dealing with heart problems.
These are tough little fighters who have endured and continue to endure daily pain. Please continue to pray for these amazing young people.
