Christmas in Conehatta
This Friday night, November 8, the Bobcats will host East Union in the first round of 2A playoffs. Game time is 7 p.m. Come out and support the Bobcats in this important game.
It is getting that time of year –Terry and Elizbaeth Liles are inviting everyone to come to 3036 Conehatta Prospect Road, Conehatta, MS to drive by and enjoy the lights and sounds of Christmas in Conehatta. This beautiful light display will be up from November 1 – January 1, 2025. The light schedule is Sunday-Thursday from 5-9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m.--10 p.m. You can follow them on Facebook at Christmas in Conehatta or YouTube@eliles01. This Saturday, November 9, visit the Jingle and Mingle Christmas Market at the Coop Community Center at Bishop Park. The market will be open from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m. Come shop all kinds of goodies.
Shout out to our neighbors in Walnut Grove — the Soul of the Grove Marching Band will be performing in The Dunkin Donuts Thanksgiving Parade in Pennsylvania. Will give more details about when this will be televised. Wishing them great success in their endeavor to perform in this parade. The band director is Tanarri Moore.
Reminder: Salem Church (Hwy. 487) has new hours for services. Sunday – Sunday School at 10 a.m , morning worship service at 11 a.m.; Wednesday night services – adult Bible study at 6 o’clock in the fellowship hall and youth activities at 6 o’clock in the youth room. Food will be served on Wednesday night. Bro. David Rives will be bringing the morning messages. All are welcome to attend. Many people have been asking when the church rededication will take place. It will be in February, 2025, to coincide with the 200th birthday (1825) of the church and with the birthday of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Organization (February 4, 1810). Watch for more information as plans will be announced.
Please continue to pray for a special group of young people who need the continued touch from the Great Physician: Salem Bennett, Lee Wilson, Sam McNaugh, Bentley Strickland, Maci Hamilton, Matthew O’Neal, Lestat Ellingburg, Eden Gilmore.
