Congratulations to the youth at Salem (Hwy., 487) for placing best in the class (religious organization) in the Walnut Grove Christmas Parade. Thanks to Candice and Andrew Grayson for their leadership with this group. The youth meet on Wednesday nights at six. No Wednesday night meetings until after Christmas. All youth are invited to become a part of this group. Next meeting will be January 8, 2025.
FYI: The final third Thursday for the year will be December 19 from 6-8 p.m.
It is getting that time of year –Terry and Elizbaeth Liles are inviting everyone to come to 3036 Conehatta Prospect Road, Conehatta, MS 39057 to drive by and enjoy the lights and sounds of Christmas in Conehatta. This beautiful light display will be up until January 1, 2025. Reminder: Salem Church (Hwy. 487) has new hours for services. Sunday – Sunday School at 10 a.m., morning worship service at 11 a.m.; Wednesday night services – adult Bible study at 6 o’clock in the fellowship hall and youth activities at 6 o’clock in the youth room. Food will be served on Wednesday night. Bro. David Rives will be bringing the morning messages. All are welcome to attend.
Many people have been asking when the Salem church rededication will take place. Mark February 2, 2025 for the Bicentennial celebration (1825-2025) and church rededication along with celebrating the founding of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Feb. 4, 1810). Times have yet to be set. Will publish as soon as that decision is made.
Please continue to pray for a special group of young people who need the continued touch from the Great Physician: Salem Bennett, Lee Wilson, Sam McNaugh, Bentley Strickland, Matthew O’Neal, Lestat Ellingburg, Eden Gilmore. These are tough little fighters who have endured and continue to endure daily pain. Please continue to pray for these amazing young people. Please add a new name to our young people’s list – newborn Danny Ray Thrash who needs us to pray for him as he had surgery the day following his birth.
