Great trunout of parents for elementary open house
Scott County teachers returned to school last week where we spent our time preparing our rooms, lessons and attending professional development training. We were also challenged and encouraged at our countywide opening convocation on Friday, where we heard two inspiring motivational speakers.
There was a great turnout of parents for the Elementary Open House on Thursday. Our students arrived on Monday and we immediately jumped into the school year. We will even start our football season with a scrimmage game against Forest High at home this Friday, August 11th at 6:00 p.m.
In Harperville News, Mrs. Diane McLaurin visited Irene Martin Saturday to deliver a John Grisham novel to be read in connection with the “Forest Reads One Book” celebration August l5 at the Forest Library.
We wish a speedy and complete recovery for Mrs. Jean Townsend and Mr. Wayne Harvey, both of whom recently underwent surgery. Our continued thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Charlie and Mrs. Rosemary Montgomery.
