All Region team rosters heavy with Scott County athletes

Gridiron stars from all around Scott County have been named to the Mississippi Coaches Association All Region Teams and two players will play in the North/South Allstar game. Rocky Washington of Forest High School and Jalen Wells of Scott Central were named to the South Team and Forest High Head Coach Ty Weems was named an assistant coach for the team.

FHS players named to the 3-A All Region Team are Washington and Dashun Loftan.

Morton Panthers taking a spot on the 3-A team are, First Team, Brandon White, Eli Wilkerson, Joe Laster, Cody Gatlin, Tyrese Walton and Josh Lloyd. Second Team members from Morton are Trey Harper, Josh Ealy, James Johnson, Tyrus McCoy, Artavius Green and Keanu Washington.

Panthers taking individual awards are, Tay Simms,  offensive MVP; Adrian Torres, Most valuable kicker; Jonathan Edmond, most valuable safety; Deshawn Alexander, Most Valuable Outside Linebacker; Robert Jennings, Most Valuable Offensive Back and Most Valuable Defensive End; Zalan Barrett, Most Valuable Offensive Lineman, Tyler Walton, Most Valuable Inside Linebacker; and Tony Boyd, Most Valuable Defensive Back.

Lake Hornets on the 2-A First Team are Brady McGee, Cornelius Mayers, Kalvin Dinkins and J.D. Evans. Second Team members are Seth McGee, Jadorian Pace, and Justin Boone.

Scott Central Rebels named to the 2-A First Team are Treyon Wash, Eli Cooper, Zechariah Parodi, Jabrelynn Vivians, Xavier Bobitt, and Javarius McBeath. Second Team members are Evan Richer, Javion Butler, Dee Burks, and Shane Burnham.

The 2-A Coaching Staff of the Year is Coach Devin Cooper and Scott Central. Region Player of the Year is Lajavis Patrick of Scott Central and Defensive MVP is Jalen Wells of Scott Central.

Sebastopol High players named to the 1-A First Team are Jaden Mann, Jacob Williams, Nosikah Melendez, Jahiem Johnson and Jess Johnson. Second Team members are  Luke Murphy and David Williams.
