I just returned from a two-day conference at Ole Miss on local news.
The eight-billion-dollar McArthur Foundation from Chicago funded the event. This foundation, started by insurance magnate John D. McArthur upon his death in 1978, is the 14th largest foundation in the United States.

Mississippi is right smack dab in the middle of the fastest growing region of the richest country of all time. Yet we stagnate.
I’m convinced that part of the problem is our lackluster downtown. Jackson is right smack dab in the middle of our state. It should be our showpiece, yet it struggles.

Those on the right howl “selective prosecution.” Those on the left say “justice served.” What’s the truth?

He is a handsome lad, far younger than I am today. His appearance reminds me of my oldest son John. He has a long, handsome face.
