A rare Thursday night edition of the Battle of the Golden Chicken, played in Forest this year, ended last week with the Morton Panthers hanging on to the coveted trophy. The Panthers defeated the Bearcats 35-28 to retain the prize and the bragging right. Morton will travel to Columbia Friday night for the first round of the playoffs.
