Be Thoughtful
Good Morning/Evening!
“But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” (Luke 14:13-14)
We should be very careful of our biases of people that look different, or don’t meet our “standards.” Stop looking down on people who are where we came from. I think we feel subconsciously that if we spend time with the less fortunate, we may get pulled down. But if we are in Christ and remember we are called to serve and be disciples to the lost, we will meet them where they are and be that “light” to guide them to Jesus. Opening our hearts and homes blesses both us and others. Now, “Who are you inviting to your banquet?”
Sunday morning worship song service was led by Sis. Marylon Evans. Pastor Henderson’s message came from Exodus 3:2; subject: “The Command from the Bush!” As Moses was told “put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.” There are things we should put off in the presence of God. Put off excuses, doubt, and injustices. You can’t fully hear the Word if you’re carrying excess weight of distractions.

Grief never ends, but it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith....It is the price of Love!
Be very thoughtful when trying to console someone, words are not always necessary, just your presence says a lot!
